A trailblazer in Houston’s family-law community, Golda R. Jacob devoted more than three decades to guiding Texas families through life’s toughest transitions. After earning her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1992, Golda combined her courtroom skill with a Syracuse-honed knack for clear, compassionate communication to launch Golda R. Jacob & Associates.
Golda R. Jacob's practice spans divorce, adoption, elder-law planning, business formations, and complex corporate disputes—always driven by a belief that practical counsel and heartfelt advocacy can coexist. Licensed to the Texas Bar since 1992, she has become a go-to “attorney near you” for clients who value steady guidance, strategic thinking, and unwavering integrity.
Golda’s legacy lives on in the next generation with her son, Adam N. Jacob, attorneys, but her own story remains the foundation: a tireless commitment to family, fairness, and the power of law to protect what matters most.
While working full-time as a mechanical engineer, Adam attended South Texas College of Law at night and ran the day-to-day operations of Golda R. Jacob & Associates as both law clerk and office manager. In between drafting briefs and assembling trial notebooks, he co-authored math-driven medical-research papers—cultivating the analytical precision that now defines his advocacy. The hands-on training Golda insisted on gave Adam courtroom experience most associates at large firms don’t see until three-to-five years into practice.
Still a student, Adam drafted complex pre- and post-nuptial agreements under Golda’s close supervision. True to his mother’s creed—“the best lawyers learn from real cases, not textbooks”—he skipped electives that weren’t grounded in Texas law or taught by practicing attorneys. That same year, the firm’s rapid growth required a move to larger offices, and Adam was elevated to partner, broadening his practice to cover divorce, child-custody disputes, elder-law planning, bankruptcy, business contracts, wills, trusts, and probate.
Adam N. Jacob earned his J.D. in 2021, passed the Uniform Bar Examination that summer, and cleared the Texas Bar in 2022. Stepping into a full-time associate role, he continued the high-touch, no-one-size-fits-all representation that made the firm a Houston mainstay. By now he was leading matters across family law, guardianships, property settlements, and complex estate administrations—cementing the “client-first, data-driven” culture his mother pioneered.
Golda R. Jacob's vision had always been to rename the firm “Jacob & Son.” Her sudden passing from internal cancer changed the plan but not the mission. Adam founded Adam N. Jacob & Associates, P.C. to honor his mother’s legacy, continuing to serve the firm’s longstanding clients and new referrals with the same personalized strategy she championed. Today, Adam’s practice remains rooted in Golda’s belief that every family—and every case—deserves a custom-tailored legal approach that blends compassion with uncompromising advocacy.
